LACA aims to make its public research pages usable across common devices, input methods, and assistive technologies. This statement describes design goals and feedback handling; it is not a claim of independent accessibility certification.

Design goals

The site maintenance team should preserve these goals as pages and research modules evolve.

Navigation and input

  • Use semantic headings, labels, buttons, and links where practical.
  • Keep core navigation and controls operable without relying only on pointer input.
  • Provide visible focus and clear status text for interactive searches and filters.

Reading and presentation

  • Support responsive layouts and browser zoom.
  • Avoid conveying essential meaning through color alone.
  • Pair complex graphics with captions, tables, downloads, or explanatory text when those alternatives are available.

Known limitations

Scientific portals can contain large tables, interactive plots, canvas graphics, and third-party resources. Their accessibility may vary by dataset, browser, and assistive technology.

Report a barrier

Please send the affected page, the task you were trying to complete, and the browser or assistive technology used to cds@ism.pumc.edu.cn.

Reports should not include passwords, private health information, unpublished participant data, or other sensitive material.
